About Us
“Minority, is about being an individual. It’s like you have to sift through the darkness to find your place and be that individual you want to be your entire life” - Billie Joe Armstong, Lead Singer of Green Day"
Hello and welcome, my name is Louisa Joseph. I am very excited that you have clicked on my website today. I coach and develop individuals and assist progressive organisations to implement proactive strategies to grow high-performing leaders delivering remarkable results, through my BAME to Boardroom programmes. Not that long ago I worked in a large corporate organisation for 17 years where I had the opportunity to grow a rewarding career in a variety of amazing HR roles, having started in operations management.
I have a wealth of experience in Diversity and Talent, driving organisation strategy on diversity and inclusion within complex environments. My knowledge and experience in business transformation, employee relations, engagement and operations means I am able to build strong, credible relationships at all levels. I am customer focused and results driven. I have experience of setting the diversity metrics at a senior level and working to provide the steer on policy and decisions that shaped recruitment and selection practices to create a pipeline of diverse talent.
I am a single mum of three and a growing number of grandchildren’. I live in London. I am truly grateful for all the opportunities I have had through my career to raise my children and provide for my family.
I first realised that I was different as a 6-year-old at primary school. It dawned on me that I was being treated differently by my peers and teachers, and it was also at the same time when I found out about someone called “Father Christmas”. I learned that the gift of Christmas was different for us being poor and black in Britain and I didn't receive the presents on my short list sent to Father Christmas. It was a painful experience. My “Father Christmas” was the gift of Love from my mother.
As with many families, being a single working mum has sometimes been a struggle. But when my mother died in December 2016, my world fell apart because my mum was the anchor in my life. Now, having left my corporate career, I am on a new journey to find my own anchor, live my passions and live my purpose. I believe we all have a purpose, but it sometimes takes a while to find it, pinpoint it and hone it.
In spite of my background, I have had the opportunity to grow a rewarding career. However, my true passion came through when I had the opportunity to make a difference in the Diversity and Inclusion space. I worked with stakeholders across different levels of the business to inspire and provide opportunities for colleagues to connect, develop and grow.
